Biography

Cela Delgado Webster is the founder and principal attorney at Chapel Legal, PLLC, a Wesley Chapel law firm helping clients in the Tampa Bay area with divorce, paternity and child custody issues as well as other important legal needs such as estate planning, guardianships, probate and church law. 

Ms. Webster brings over 22 years of dedicated public service to the firm. She is a Tampa native and bilingual in Spanish. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of South Florida. Ms. Webster pursued her law degree at Syracuse University College of Law in upstate New York. While in law school, Ms. Webster was an officer of the Latin American Law Student Association (LALSA), Moot Court Team member, Class Senator, Syracuse University Judicial Affairs Officer and a Member of the Civil Rights Clinic. 

After law school, Ms. Webster served migrant farm workers and victims of domestic violence primarily in divorce, custody and injunction proceedings.  Shortly thereafter, Ms. Webster began an 18-year career working for the Federal Judiciary in both the Northern District of New York and Middle District of Florida. Seeking to expand her legal expertise, Ms. Webster accepted a position as the General Counsel for the Hernando County Clerk of Circuit Court and Comptroller.  Thereafter, Ms. Webster joined Bay Area Legal Services in Plant City assisting clients with divorce, child custody, domestic violence injunctions and paternity cases. Ms. Webster is licensed to practice law in both New York and Florida. She is a member of the Family Law and Real Property, Probate and Trust Sections of the Florida Bar. Ms. Webster is also a member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association, the Tampa Bay Hispanic Bar Association, and the Hispanic Professional Women’s Association. She routinely volunteers in the community to do pro bono work with Wills for Heros, Community Law days and Feeding Tampa Bay.
